Casa Feldmann
A home with detail, from the structure to the interior.
Casa Feldmann is located in a privileged environment in the municipality of Altea, close to its town. historic and with panoramic views that span from the bay of Altea passing through Albir, the Serra Gelada and the characteristic Benidorm skyline.
The plot on which the house is located has a difference in level along its surface of 17 meters, which represents a challenge when designing the building.
The distribution of the building seeks the permeability of natural light throughout all the rooms, as well as a constant visual dialogue with the privileged views that the place offers.
Eliminating elements that obstruct views and allowing light to pass through is a priority. The structure of the housing works through load-bearing walls and reinforced concrete slabs throughout the complex, and has a role especially important, since, through an exhaustive structural design, it is possible to eliminate the architectural barriers and the structural elements in the front of the house disappear.
The materiality of the home seeks sobriety and the prominence of materials that evoke nature. Walnut wood is the main protagonist, which appears in all spaces. There is a willingness on the part of clients to develop a proposal to personalize the different rooms.
In order to carry out this design, and still maintain the same atmosphere throughout the home, It was decided to combine walnut wood and large-format ceramic flooring, which are repeated throughout the entire project, with large pieces of different marbles such such as the Paonazzo Biondo or Calcatta, which end up personalizing each room and compose the pieces of furniture themselves.
